Welcome to our Website. For 25 years, Lear Engineering has been the leader in developing on-line test equipment for magnet wire plants, worldwide. Our engineers have had ample exposure to the quality problems that magnet wire manufacturers face as they struggle to meet ever more demanding quality requirements of the industry.

Of these requirements, in line inspection of the final enameled product for beads, blisters, and insulation faults, just prior to spooling, was a challenge facing the industry and one that fit our technical talents perfectly.

As a result, the Lear Fusion System was developed and is now the premier method used worldwide by this industry to detect (and reduce) enamel surface problems. Major credit for this success goes to the users of magnet wire who noticed dramatic quality improvements in the motors, transformers, and similar products they make using wire made on lines equipped with this system.

As a bonus to magnet wire plants, less scrap and fewer returns result from the immediate alarms and trends of surface problems presented to the operator. Often before the spool reaches rejection levels, he can correct the problem.
